Isaac Newton Vs Gottfried Leibniz

Hi

I bet most of you know about Isaac Newton. Well, he's the second most influential people after Prophet Muhammad SAW. Most of his work revolved around one word "motion." Well, you learn about Newton's Law of Motion during high school so it's obvious if you have heard about him. Well then, who the hell is Gottfried Leibniz? Most of us don't know eventhough we learn about things that he invented during college.

Calculus. I know how scary this thing can be for most of us. Especially to those who wanted to be an engineer or a mathematician. Well, Leibniz also developed calculus, around the same time as when Newton invented calculus. Their idea is different, the approach used to solve the problem is also different. And yet both of them came out with one of the toughest subject for most of us. I can tell you about the background of this two inventors but for the fun of it, i want you to google and find out.

Now, what is so important about the inventor of calculus? Well, i am trying to say that there is a different approach that we can use in order to solve a problem. Say if a problem arise, what you want to do is to solve the problem. That is your target. But if you are using the same mentality as you use when you create a problem to solve them, then how are you going to solve it? Back to Newton and Leibniz, both of them fight for the title "inventor of calculus." The fact is, they both are the inventor of calculus. Two great mind is now fighting for one small title.

I obviously love the way Newton approach the problem, because it was valid. Leibniz on the other hand need further clarification but still he solved the problem. It's like the reason didn't matter, and all that matter is the result. To Leibniz himself, because he is a mathematician, result is important. Whereas to Newton, the way you solved the problem is important because to him, if you use the wrong way, then you cannot obtain a good result. Personally, i think that we should use both ways and apply it in a correct situation. I believe, if you have both of this personality in yourself, your work is guaranteed to be remarkable. Look at Newton and Leibniz.

Lastly, thanks for reading this boring post. Plus, since you did not google about Newton and Leibniz earlier, you might not notice that I was lying to you earlier. Go find out which one and tell me if you think you got the correct answer.
